Codepency
Group Sessions

Are you ready to break free from unhealthy patterns and find healthier ways of relating to others?

Our Codependency Processing Group is a safe and supportive space where you’ll learn to recognize symptoms of codependency, practice new coping skills in real time, and walk alongside others who are also on a journey of recovery.

What is a Codepency Group Session?

This group is designed for individuals who feel stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns and want to find freedom from codependency. If you often put others’ needs before your own, struggle with boundaries, or feel responsible for fixing those around you, you are not alone. This group provides a safe, supportive space to recognize these patterns and begin building healthier, more life-giving relationships.

Whether you’ve struggled with codependency for years or are just beginning to recognize it in your life, this 8-week group offers both practical tools and compassionate support to help you move forward.

This group may be for you if you:
  • Find yourself constantly putting others’ needs above your own

  • Struggle to set healthy boundaries in relationships

  • Feel responsible for fixing or rescuing others

  • Experience guilt or anxiety when saying “no”

  • Feel your self-worth is tied to how much you do for others

  • Often feel burned out, resentful, or emotionally drained

What’s Included in the Assessment

Over the course of 8 weeks, you’ll meet in a small and supportive group environment where each session includes teaching, open discussion, and time to practice new skills. You can expect practical tools and handouts to help you apply what you’re learning outside of the group, as well as ongoing encouragement as you grow. Most importantly, you’ll be surrounded by a caring community of people who understand your struggles and are walking the same path toward healthier, more balanced relationships.

FAQ

What if I miss a session?

Life happens, and sometimes people need to miss a session. We encourage consistency because it helps you and the group build connection and momentum. If you know in advance that you’ll miss, please let us know 24 hours beforehand to avoid a cancellation fee. Group fees will be billed either the day of or after group. Late canceled or no show sessions are not refunded, but you’ll be welcomed back to continue the work when you return.

How confidential is the group?

Confidentiality is a core value of the group. Just like in individual counseling, your privacy is protected by law and by our ethical guidelines. Each participant agrees to respect the privacy of others in the group—what’s shared here stays here. While no group can guarantee complete confidentiality, we set clear expectations and create a safe, respectful environment where trust can grow.

How many people will be in the group?

Our groups are intentionally kept small—typically 6 to 10 participants. This size allows for rich discussion, meaningful connection, and enough space for each person to be heard and supported.

Is the group in person or virtual?

The group meets in person at our practice. Gathering face-to-face allows for deeper connection, a shared sense of presence, and a safe environment where participants can engage fully with one another.

Why do group therapy instead of individual therapy?

Group therapy offers something unique: the chance to connect with others who “get it.” While individual therapy is one-on-one, groups provide shared perspectives, support, and the healing experience of knowing you’re not alone. Many people find that hearing others’ stories and offering their own encouragement leads to powerful insights and growth. Group and individual therapy can also complement each other beautifully.

Is prior counseling/therapy required?

No. Prior counseling is not required. Some participants may have past or current individual therapy, while others may be completely new to the process. The group is designed to meet you where you are and provide support, tools, and shared experiences that can benefit anyone open to the process.
