Nathan Self
CMHC, CPRC
Nathan is a Certified Mental Health Coach (CMHC) and Professional Recovery Coach (CPRC) with a passion for helping people overcome lies with truth and walk in the freedom God intends for their lives. His heart for this work was shaped through years of walking with people through anxiety, addiction, grief, spiritual confusion, and relational pain. Nathan brings a grounded, compassionate presence to each session, helping people feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to grow.
Over the past decade, Nathan has served in pastoral care and leadership, providing trauma informed support and crisis care for adults & teens, couples, and families navigating emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. He has spent years mentoring students and adults through anxiety, depression, family instability, identity struggles, and recovery journeys, and has taught extensively on biblical emotional health, relationships, and spiritual formation. His style is relational, steady, and practical—focused on helping people slow down, make sense of what’s happening inside them, and take meaningful next steps.
Rooted deeply in his Christian faith, Nathan believes real change happens when truth replaces the lies we’ve believed about God, ourselves, and others. His approach is biblically grounded and informed by trauma-aware and recovery-oriented practices. He works within ethical coaching boundaries, prioritizes safety and trust, and partners well with therapists, counselors, and clinical providers when higher levels of care are needed. Nathan enjoys working with people from all backgrounds and stages of faith, and believes hope and healing are possible for every person.
Outside of sessions, Nathan is usually found enjoying a great cup of coffee, appreciating mid-century modern furniture and design, walking his dog Maggie with his wife Abi, and dreaming up welcoming spaces where meaningful conversations can happen. He believes healing often happens best in environments that feel safe, warm, and human.
