Rachel Dannelley brings a deep well of compassion, clinical expertise, and personalized care to Genesis Family. With 10+ years of experience in the mental health field, 7 of those years being in the counseling scene, she is known not only for her diverse therapeutic approach but also for her unwavering commitment to walking alongside each client with empathy, respect, and authenticity.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Huntingdon College and a Master of Science in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. Her professional training spans a wide array of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic techniques, and Experiential methods such as Sandtray Therapy (Level 1 & 2) and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). She is also currently pursuing certification in the Gottman Method to further strengthen her work with couples.
What sets Rachel apart is her belief that therapy should never be “one size fits all.” She understands that every client’s journey is unique—and tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each individual where they are. Her eclectic style ensures that clients of all ages and backgrounds receive personalized support that honors their story, culture, and goals.

Rachel works with pre-teens, teens, young adults, couples, and adults. She has extensive experience supporting clients through challenges such as trauma (including PTSD), anxiety, depression, ADHD, phase-of-life transitions, self-esteem struggles, eating disorders, perinatal/postpartum issues, relationship difficulties, and social functioning concerns. She is especially passionate about serving Veterans, Active Duty Military, First Responders, and survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
Grounded in a Christ-centered faith, Rachel provides a safe and welcoming environment for clients from all walks of life—regardless of their spiritual background or belief system. Her goal is simple but powerful: to create a space where clients can show up exactly as they are, and feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to grow into the best and healthiest versions of themselves.
Whether sitting in with the sandtray, engaging in equine work, or actively listening with an open heart, Rachel’s presence is marked by loyalty, gentleness, and a fierce dedication to helping others heal and thrive.
